The real estate market is picking up steam in the eastern panhandle and Larry DeMarco’s RE/MAX Team is poised and ready to help home buyers and sellers satisfy their property needs. This seven-person team does everything you would expect from real estate agents: they handle resales, new homes, and property sales locally, are ABR, GRI, SRES certified, and Larry has been a presence in the local market for 23 years. But the talented group of people bring so much more to the table in addition to their knowledge and competence in building requirements, county codes, and market trends. They bring individual spirit, altruistic influences, and a genuine love for what they are doing to the table. These personal touches change the process from one of a routine business transaction to a sensory-laden experience.
Dubbed the “pet friendly” team, Larry DeMarco’s Team is located in the heart of Martinsburg on Edwin Miller Blvd. Each of the members contributes something unique in the way that they work with their customers. Long-time residents of West Virginia, all of the agents and the closing coordinator have extensive knowledge of the area. The unique aspect of doing business with a resident of the same community proves invaluable to potential buyers interested in relocating for another area, whether out of state or in another corner of Wild and Wonderful.
Meet the dynamic team that puts customer satisfaction as their number one goal:
Larry DeMarco caught the real estate bug in 1995. His passion for selling homes drove him to open his own RE/MAX Franchise, which he was Broker/Owner. Larry and his wife Nicole, operated this successful office for five years. While he enjoyed ownership, Larry decided that he wanted to focus on customer relationships in a closer fashion than he was able to as an owner. The friendships he made and the direct impact he had on making the dream of home ownership come true encouraged him to try a new tact. From that mindset, the Larry DeMarco Team once again joined RE/MAX Real Estate Group. (Craig Loy, Broker). A military veteran with experience working in the residential contracting industry, Larry is a former Director of the Eastern Panhandle Board of Realtors and has won several awards including the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Club Award. His dedication to the customers he serves has gained him entry into RE/MAX clubs of distinction, such as the 100% Club, Platinum Club, and the Chairman’s Club.
Vicki Clark has built a stellar reputation on the strength of referrals, which is a feat unto itself. During the course of her 17-year career, she has served as the President of the Eastern Panhandle Board of Realtors and as a State Director. Vicki represents both buyers and sellers in Berkeley, Morgan, and Jefferson counties, maintaining her status as a top seller in these regions because of the personalized service she provides. Vicki is also a proud volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, helping to changes lives for the better for the past 10 years.
Laurie Webber has lived in West Virginia since 2000. She genuinely enjoys the feeling of helping people find the perfect space, whether it is a home or land, and does so in Berkeley, Jefferson, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral and Morgan counties in WV. She is also licensed in Virginia, covering Clarke, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Shenandoah and Warren counties. Like many of her teammates, Laurie is also an active animal lover. She volunteers at Berkeley County Animal Control, is on the board of PurposeFULL Paws, and volunteers with a Search and Rescue Team, EVAK.
Randy Brown was born and raised in the community within which he serves. As a Martinsburg native, he has a well-rounded knowledge of what the community has to offer, and where it has come from. His experience with local home builders as well as in closing residential resales round out his knowledgeable approach to the buying and selling process. Covering Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan, Randy is a wonderful resource for understanding the logistical ins and outs as well as the hidden treasures the area has to offer.
Stacey Hipp Hobbs’ connection to West Virginia is profound. After having grown up in Jefferson county, educational and travel pursuits took her abroad, but, when it was time to put down roots, she returned to her beloved WV. Having worked in the financial services and insurance industries, Stacey brings an in-depth understanding of the money side of the process that some buyers and sellers consider daunting. A teacher at heart, Stacey is an incomparable financial resource for her customers and colleagues.
Ashley Billman enjoys helping others. She brings that spirit of community to her service as a Realtor. Ashley is a member of the Eastern Panhandle Board of REALTORS Community Service Committee as well as a small business owner in the community. Her company, Construction 4:13, Inc, has provided her with hands-on knowledge of the residential construction process, enabling her to project process costs and timelines and to communicate those effectively to her customers.
Tina Malone serves as the Team Manager, coordinating the process to assist customers and team with paperwork, inspections and scheduling. Her knowledge of the requirements needed to wrap up a sale or purchase puts the customers at ease. As the final face of the company through the buying and selling process, Tina provides a careful service that is comprehensive, understanding, and most of all proficient.
The Realtors on Larry DeMarco’s Team, focus their knowledge and skills on helping people make their dreams come true because they love what they do. “We are helping people make the largest purchase of their lives,” said Larry, when asked about why he enjoys real estate. His team understands how important that is and help to smooth the road before them. With a large portion of the real estate sales made in the panhandle coming from people moving into the state, it is important to have people on the team that understand the challenges that go along with relocation. From finding activities for family outings to plotting a viable route for the morning commute, home buyers that are new to the area benefit from agents that have certain skills to make their transition easier. Larry DeMarco’s team has people who have lived in the local area all of their lives and those that moved to the panhandle after living elsewhere, covering all the bases. The knowledge they impart is invaluable and their customers don’t mind saying so. Larry’s team has been crowned #1 RE/MAX Team in WV for the past 3 years.
From tips on properly staging a home, location demographics analysis, needs versus wants dialogue, and a camaraderie that stands out from the pack, Larry DeMarco’s team serves as a well-rounded resource for their customers. They believe in staying busy as well: the Team typically averages an inventory of approximately 75 listings. Because of changes in the economic climate, 2017 was one of the best years the real estate market has seen in some time. Larry DeMarco thinks this trend will continue into 2018, especially in the panhandle. The proximity this location has to major cities like Washington DC and Baltimore, MD; the easy access to connector roads and the interstate; the inherent beauty of the area; and the job creation that continues to unfold as big businesses open warehouses and offices will likely catapult the panhandle’s appeal to buyers and builders from both inside and outside of the state. Larry DeMarco’s team will be right there, ready to help!
