Around The Panhandle | July & August2016

Dear Readers:

There are not enough words to describe the man that you see smiling at you on the cover of this issue. Harley Wagner is one of the most outstanding human beings that I have ever had the pleasure to know. Since the first day we meet he has called me “My Friend”. I know after you read his article, you will see why I am so honored.

I am so excited, to share this issue of Around The Panhandle with you. It is jam packed with countless examples of what make the Eastern Panhandle a wonderful place to live or visit. I was truly touched by the article that Audrey Knapp wrote about the Gateway Children’s Garden. What a wonderful representation of a community (our community) coming together and creating such a positive, educational wonderland for our children to learn and grow.

As you will know in the last few years, Downtown Martinsburg has seen a lot of growth. Mugs & Muffins Coffee Shop & Bakery is the newest business to promote this growth. Just the countertop only is worth the visit.

If you are in the market for a new vehicle, just take a short drive to Hancock, MD to Douglas Motors. This family owned company had stood the test of time and still stand tall after 70+ years of business.

Before I go, let me leave you with this thought. Go out and discover everything this beautiful area has to offer. Look at it thought the eyes of a stranger that has just discovered a new and exciting destination to explore.
