Dear Readers,

I hope this finds you happy, well and enthusiastic for all of the wonderful possibilities that lie before you in this New Year. We at Around The Panhandle are very excited at the prospect of bringing all of you yet another year full of our beautiful publication. With our new president being sworn in to office, this proves to be a time full of anticipation for what lies ahead for our great country.

I am especially eager to bring this January/February issue of Around The Panhandle to you, our loyal readers as it is once again brimming with valuable stories and information. It is our pleasure to introduce Shepherd Universities new Athletic Director Chauncey Winbush who is a welcome addition to our community. I personally found the article on the Apollo Civic Theatre fascinating and a wealth of history and information about our beloved theatre.

This issue also features some yummy area eateries that are must tries for sure. There is no question that I will be frequenting these fine establishments. The only question is which one to visit first. With Valentines Day around the bend, any of these options are sure to please your special someone.
